Talk with Emily Honeycutt, 865-661-4967
Please let me know your background and why you are interested in joining the co-op
Perks of teaching...
-
Your children get priority scheduling for elective classes
-
Teachers will have breaks to prepare for the next week during their schedule, so if you teach for two hours, you would have all the additional time to accomplish what you want during the rest of the time.
-
You will have a parent assistant in the room while you are teaching to help with the children or assisting you in teaching the class or subsituting as needed for illness.
Good information to know...
-
We prefer most classes not to have homework, the focus is to make the classes fun, engaging, and group oriented in nature. Some classes might require outside work to be done, and it will need to be listed in the sllyabus you create.
-
I will need a course description for your class and a class syllabus by the deadlines given.
-
The co-op will work with all teachers on establishing a budget for classroom supplies. Certain classes will have a bigger budget, such as Art, drama, P.E. and science classes. The budget might have to be adjusted each semester as we evaluate the needs of all the classes to be successful.
